Gardeners Grove aims to create the 'homely' feeling that people often get when they feel safe and welcome in a space. It does this through a simplistic watercolour style with light autumnal colours while also utilising the 2.5D 'paper cutout' approach to re-creating the warming, nostalgic feeling of a children's book.

Colour palette and plants inspired are by autumnal British forests. Below is a mood board of autumn and winter photographs taken by Megan on her walks. These local British woodland surroundings inspire the look of the game.

Gardeners Grove aims to keep the overall feeling of the game very warm through the use of red, brown, yellow, and orange tones.

The best way to do this is to make sure there is a yellow undertone on all of the plants. This is achieved in two ways:
